The family of the late Kim Sae-ron has released a video that supposedly shows Kim Sae-ron and a man presumed to be Kim Soo-hyun having a date at Kim Sae-ron’s home.
On the 18th, the YouTube channel “Garosero Research Institute” (hereafter referred to as “Gaseyeon”) uploaded a video titled “Kim Soo-hyun, Date Video at Kim Sae-ron’s House.”
In response to Kim Soo-hyun’s agency Gold Medalist stating that “Kim Soo-hyun has never been to Kim Sae-ron’s house,” Gaseyeon released a video with the family’s consent.
The video in question shows a man, presumed to be Kim Soo-hyun, having a warm conversation with Kim Sae-ron at her house. In the video, the man is seen touching Kim Sae-ron’s back where an electronic massager is attached, asking, “Aren’t you putting too much pressure on it?” Kim Sae-ron responded with a shiver, saying, “This is amazing. Have you tried it? If you put it on your stomach, you could die.” When the man continues to film with his phone, Kim Sae-ron laughs and asks, “Are you filming me? Non-stop?”
Gaseyeon urged Kim Soo-hyun to issue a statement the following day, warning that they would release more videos if he denied his presence, stating, “We have videos that show your face. Please issue a statement by tomorrow. We are waiting.”
Additionally, Gaseyeon presented a screenshot of text messages from August 2018, suggesting a conversation between Kim Sae-ron, a high school sophomore at the time, and Kim Soo-hyun. In the messages, Kim Sae-ron, saved as “Kim Soo-hyun88,” asked, “Are you deleting messages like this???” and the following day, “This is a call, answer it.”
Gaseyeon commented, “It is alleged that when Kim Sae-ron met Kim Soo-hyun, she told her family he asked to communicate via Telegram. People who suggest using Telegram should be suspicious. The nature of the messages indicates a significant relationship; why else contact someone around 9 to 10 PM? We wish for this to be known.”
Earlier that day, Kim Soo-hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, released an official statement addressing allegations about 700 million won in settlement pressure and underage dating.
The agency asserted, “Gold Medalist has never claimed any form of compensation from Kim Sae-ron. As the official document reveals, we never asked Kim Sae-ron to compensate for any damage to the works. It is impossible to claim damages for posting a photo on social media or having contact with our actors.”
The agency further explained, “We jointly addressed the damage from the drunk driving incident with Kim Sae-ron and reduced the remaining compensation to about 700 million won through various efforts. However, as Kim Sae-ron faced difficulties in her career, we determined she was unable to repay the debt and, therefore, closed it as an expense in December 2023. Regarding the recent photo on a Kim Sae-ron fan’s social media account showing two people at her apartment elevator, the agency stated, “The person in the photo is not Kim Soo-hyun but someone else. We do not feel the need to respond to baseless allegations based on an image where the face cannot be discerned. However, the family has claimed that based on that image, Kim Soo-hyun often visited Kim Sae-ron’s apartment where she lived with her family since she was a minor and secretly met her when her family wasn’t around. Kim Soo-hyun has never been to the elevator location mentioned by Gaseyeon. It is Gaseyeon that went there, not Kim Soo-hyun.”
