Kim Gura reveals why he doesn’t show his “youngest daughter” publicly: “I’ve had many proposals, but I have my own sense of modesty” (from ‘Let’s Have a Drink’).

Kim Gura, a well-known broadcaster, has firmly decided not to reveal his second daughter on television. A recent video titled “Why Kim Gura Doesn’t Use SNS or Kakaotalk” was uploaded to the YouTube channel “Kim Hyun-wook’s News Instead of a Drink.”

Regarding showing his family on broadcasts, Kim Gura shared his views, stating, “One has to think about living together with the public. Isn’t that the case with Do Kyung-wan and Jang Yoon-jeong? Honestly, while sharing children’s lives with the public can be beneficial, it’s not necessary. It’s just about thinking of living with the public.”

Kim Hyun-wook cautiously asked, “Your daughter won’t be appearing on shows in the future, right?” To which Kim Gura firmly responded, “No, she won’t.” He went on to say, “I’ve received many proposals. I genuinely respect family entertainment but after broadcasting for over ten years with Dong-hyun and going through divorce publicly, should I now share my remarried life and my family at this age? If you were in my shoes, would you? They stayed silent at that. You wouldn’t do it either.”

Kim Gura emphasized, “I do have a sense of propriety, and I have no wish to reveal my second child to the public. Those who suggested it also came to understand, saying, ‘If I were Kim Gura, I wouldn’t do it.’ It’s cute, really cute, but I just don’t want to.”

Kim Gura remarried a non-celebrity 12 years his junior in 2020, and the couple welcomed their second daughter in 2021.
