On the 15th, KG Mobility (KGM) announced that it held the “2025 KGM Hanmaum Scholarship Award Ceremony” to support local talents and disadvantaged groups. KGM hosted the scholarship award ceremony on April 12th in the main conference room on the first floor of its Pyeongtaek headquarters, where it presented scholarships and certificates to the students, encouraging their academic efforts. Scholarship recipients were selected based on recommendations from their respective schools.
The Hanmaum Scholarship was established in 2011 with a founding fund of 150 million won by KGM’s labor union and management. Since 2012, it has been providing scholarships to students from disadvantaged groups in the community to offer equal educational opportunities and give back to the local residents’ support. To date, the KGM Hanmaum Scholarship has supported 402 middle school, high school, and university students in the Pyeongtaek area.
A representative from KGM stated, “The Hanmaum Scholarship was established to nurture future talents in the community and to reciprocate the support and enthusiasm shown by local residents towards KGM. Going forward, as a leading company in the community, KGM will continue to spearhead talent development and community growth through ongoing scholarship initiatives and various industry-academia cooperation programs.”
