Kang Rin of the group E.O.S found dead in a Yeouido hotel at the age of 58.

Kang Rin, a former member of the group E.O.S, known for introducing the Euro techno genre to the public in the early 1990s, has passed away at the age of 58.

According to an exclusive report by Financial News, Kang Rin was found dead at a hotel in Yeouido, Seoul, on July 31st. The police reported that there were no signs of foul play, but the exact cause of death has not been revealed.

Kang Rin debuted in 1993 as a member of the three-member group E.O.S, alongside vocalist Kim Hyung-jung and guitarist Go Seok-young, producing numerous hits such as “Dream, Illusion, and Delusion,” “You’re Not a Stranger,” and “Each One’s Path.”

The deceased participated as a keyboardist in the first album and took on the role of producer for the second and third albums. At the time, E.O.S gained popularity by presenting unique music based on Euro techno sound, which was unfamiliar in the domestic music scene.

Afterward, Kang Rin formed Lynn O&X in 1995 and continued his musical activities. He later transitioned to a producer role at Yedang Sound, contributing to the music industry by producing albums for artists like Marie Jane and Zett.
