Kakao Mobility announced on the 9th that it will enhance access to taxi calling services for seniors in collaboration with the Seoul Digital Foundation. They will jointly produce an educational video series titled “Easily Learning How to Use Kakao T Taxi,” and conduct a campaign providing detailed guidance on each step, including app installation, calling, and payment.
To understand the practical difficulties faced by seniors, Kakao Mobility conducted a preliminary survey targeting instructors from the “Anywhere Support Group” within the Seoul Digital Foundation. Since the group consists of active seniors engaging in dynamic social activities even after retirement, integrating their feedback allows for the creation of content that offers real help.
The “Easily Learning How to Use Kakao T Taxi” series consists of tutorial videos around 3-5 minutes long. Each video covers one of five topics: how to install and register on the Kakao T app, setting departure and destination points, registering a payment method, boarding or canceling a taxi call, and ending a ride while sharing your real-time location.
Additionally, Kakao Mobility and the Seoul Digital Foundation are reviewing content formats, including instructor recruitment and video editing styles, to enhance communication of the educational content.
These videos will be available through the announcements in the Kakao T app and on Kakao Mobility’s YouTube and Instagram channels. They will also be provided on Seoul Digital Foundation’s EduTech platform “EduTech Campus,” its official YouTube channel’s “Anywhere 5-Minute Class,” in offline lecture materials, and via their partnership channel SK Btv.
