JK 김동욱, ‘윤 지지’ 발언으로 인해 대구 공연이 취소되었다고 합니다. 그는 공연이 “선동꾼들의 협박 민원”으로 무산되었다고 언급했습니다.

[Sports Chosun Reporter Kim So-hee] Singer JK Kim Dong-wook, who had voiced opposition to the impeachment of President Yoon Suk-yeol, announced that his concert scheduled to be held in Daegu was canceled “due to safety reasons.”

On the 7th, JK Kim Dong-wook posted a lengthy message, stating, “I have unfortunate news to share from the start of the new year.” He announced that the concert at the Daegu Seogu Cultural Center, scheduled for January 25, was canceled due to objections from outsiders and safety concerns.

He explained that the cancellation was due to threats of protests by a few external individuals, rather than complaints from attendees, adding that the decision was made based on “groundless agitation.”

JK Kim Dong-wook expressed regret, noting that the concert was his first performance in Daegu in several years, and he had been rehearsing duets for a week. He expressed hope that such situations, in which the opinions of a few agitators override the majority, would not recur in the future. He also apologized to the fans who planned to attend.

Previously, the Korean-Canadian singer had shown support for President Yoon through his SNS, sharing messages like “approval rating topped 40%,” accompanied by a national flag emoji. He expressed that this was “the aspiration of people longing for liberal democracy.”

This comes after the High-Ranking Officials Crime Investigation Department (CIO) attempted to execute an arrest warrant for President Yoon but withdrew after a standoff with the security agency. The warrant was issued after President Yoon allegedly used military and police forces to declare a martial law aimed at subverting the constitution.
