In his New Year address this morning, Chairman Jin stated, “This year will be a decisive time for determining Shinhan’s sustainability.”‘,
Regarding last year’s management performance, he commented, “We worked together wholeheartedly to achieve Zero scandals, enhance customer convenience, and create sustainable profits. We introduced the industry’s first accountability structure, established internal control as a corporate culture, and took a meaningful first step with the preemptive disclosure of plans to enhance corporate value.”‘,
For this year’s management slogan, Chairman Jin proposed, “Customer-Centric World-Class Shinhan Humanitas (Humanity) and Communitas (Community).” The management strategies to implement this include ▷establishing effective internal controls ▷creating differentiated customer value ▷strengthening corporate citizenship capabilities and taking the lead in resolving social issues.’,
Chairman Jin emphasized, “Despite focusing on internal controls corporation-wide last year, we fell short of meeting the expectations of customers and society. This year, we will thoroughly oversee management, evaluation, and monitoring to ensure a more practical internal control system and strengthen the ethical awareness of our employees.”‘,
He continued, “We will pursue fundamental innovations in our core business by viewing finance from the customer’s perspective, improving customer convenience and experience management, and expanding customer-focused solutions and business synergies within our group.”‘,
Additionally, he added, “We will increase the supply of green finance and transition finance to support the shift to a low-carbon economy and seek practical solutions to the low birthrate issue that our society must collaboratively address. We will also genuinely focus on supporting the younger generation.”‘,
In conclusion, Chairman Jin stated, “Ultimately, we must become essential to our customers. We must prove Shinhan’s reason for existence and maintain our sustainability.
