Actor Cha Kang-seok, who previously caused controversy for his statements supporting the 12.3 martial law declaration, has now shared a full-page newspaper advertisement warning constitutional court justices on his social media (SNS).
On the 22nd, Cha Kang-seok posted a full-page advertisement from a newspaper on his Instagram, with the caption “Nice.”
The ad, titled “A stern warning to the eight constitutional court justices: Moon Hyung-bae, Lee Mi-sun, Kim Hyeong-doo, Jeong Jeong-mi, Jeong Hyung-sik, Kim Bok-hyeong, Jeong Gye-seon, Cho Han-chang,” was attributed to “Free Democratic Force Union, National Alliance of Free Democracy, Gathering of the Free Republic of Korea, and three million members of the Free Patriotic Organization.”
The ad’s publisher urged, “Be aware that you have already lost your original demeanor as judges who conduct fair trials solely based on conscience and law for the citizens of the Free Republic of Korea,” and insisted that “Even if you are left-leaning judges, should you harbor any insidious intentions to conduct biased trials by submitting to pro-North Korea, leftist, anti-American, pro-China Lee Jae-myung and his group, we urge you to immediately make a conscience declaration to the public.”
The ad continued, “The impeachment trial of the president is a matter of profound national importance. Should there be any hasty or biased decision to accept the illegal impeachment, there will be a severe public backlash resulting in stern punishment,” issuing a strong warning.
Cha Kang-seok, primarily active in musicals and performances, has consistently defended President Yoon Suk-yeol and the martial law declaration since the martial law incident last year.
On the 17th, upon hearing about the arrest of Kim Seong-hoon, deputy director of the Presidential Security Service, he expressed his frustration by stating, “It’s overwhelming and tough, but this is a new beginning. Patriotic citizens, let’s rise.”
Meanwhile, President Yoon Suk-yeol attended the fourth impeachment trial session today, following his presence at the third session two days ago.
During today’s trial session, former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyeon is set to testify and meet President Yoon.
