[OSEN=Park So-young] SBS ‘Curious Story Y’ will cover the past school violence controversy involving actress Song Ha-yoon.
On the 3rd, the production team of ‘Curious Story Y’ released a preview through their official SNS. The video included captions that read “A confession after 21 years, what’s the truth behind Song Ha-yoon’s school violence controversy?” arousing viewers’ curiosity.
The preview featured testimonies from informants related to the allegations of school violence involving Song Ha-yoon. One informant claimed, “She’s a devil. She said, ‘Hey, I won’t hit you anymore’ and then hit again. She never said sorry,” presenting shocking claims. Additionally, testimonies about the atmosphere at the time, saying, “If a senior hits you, you have to take it,” and an injury diagnosis of three weeks were revealed, adding to the shock.
Regarding this, Song Ha-yoon’s legal representative declined the production team’s interview request, stating, “It is difficult to respond. Please leave.” As a result, there is growing interest in how far ‘Curious Story Y’ will explore the truth behind the school violence allegations that surfaced after 21 years.
The school violence allegations against Song Ha-yoon emerged last year. At the time, she was gaining attention for her role as the villain Jeong Soo-min in the tvN drama ‘Marry My Husband.’ After the drama concluded, she was accused by a person known as A, who claimed to be a high school classmate, of being a perpetrator of school violence. Song Ha-yoon denied the claims, stating, “It’s groundless, and I have no acquaintance with A,” but could not overturn public criticism, leading to the termination of her contract with her former agency and a halt in activities.
About 1 year and 5 months later, in July, Song Ha-yoon’s side once again claimed innocence and filed a lawsuit against A for spreading false information. However, the investigation was delayed due to A residing in the US, but A eventually boarded a flight back to Korea.
Song Ha-yoon’s side revealed they had additionally filed a lawsuit against A for defamation and also proceeded with a second lawsuit for obstruction of business and intimidation. In response, A intended to file charges against Song Ha-yoon and her law firm for false accusation, defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act, and coercion.
