Huawei’s Chief Strategy Architect, Dang Wenshuan, delivered the opening remarks at the Global Mobile Broadband Forum 2024 on the 7th, according to Huawei. The company announced on the 8th that during the forum, they introduced technological innovation plans for mobile AI-based networks. The event was attended by global industry leaders, stakeholders, and telecom operators who discussed mobile AI applications, industry development trends, network connectivity requirements, and directions for technological evolution.
In his opening speech, Dang Wenshuan stated that businesses striving for intelligent transformation need to possess six capabilities: adaptive user experiences, automatic evolving products, autonomous operations, human augmentation, all-connected resources, and AI-native infrastructure. He emphasized that telecom operators need to upgrade network infrastructure to create new value for intelligent integration. Operators aiming to strengthen intelligent capabilities in the mobile AI era are committed to improving uplink speeds and spectrum efficiency by tenfold, increasing network coverage by 10 dB, and advancing all frequency bands to 5.5G.
