[Seoul=Newsis] Reporter Lee Chang-hoon = HD Hyundai has announced a new safety vision and continued its commitment to safety-first management. Following the announcement in September of a safety budget of 4.5 trillion KRW by 2030, the company is now detailing its implementation plans.
On the 19th, HD Hyundai held the HD Hyundai Safety Forum at the HD Hyundai Global R&D Center in Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do.
This forum served as an opportunity to review HD Hyundai’s safety practices over the past decade and unveil its safety vision and action plans.
The event was attended by key management figures, including Chairman Chung Ki-sun, along with Chief Safety Officers from various companies.
Also in attendance were Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Young-hoon and National Assembly Member Kim Tae-sun (Ulsan Dong-gu).
During the forum, HD Hyundai announced a new safety vision: “A workplace where everyone is safe, a company where safety becomes the brand.”
They revealed three core strategic axes—system, culture, and technology—as focal points for action. Specifically, they plan to:
– Establish a risk management system
– Enhance safety culture
– Use big data and artificial intelligence (AI) for real-time responses
Minister Kim Young-hoon remarked, “This forum will serve as a significant example for industrial sites with HD Hyundai as a model for safety.”
Chairman Chung Ki-sun emphasized, “Safety is a critical condition for a company’s survival,” and urged continued attention and efforts to build a safety culture and secure workplaces.
