Gyeonggi Province to hold the ‘Gyeonggi International Webtoon Fair’ at KINTEX from September 18-21.

Gyeonggi-do will host the “2025 Gyeonggi International Webtoon Fair” at KINTEX in Goyang from the 18th to the 21st of next month. This event, in its 7th year, is the largest webtoon expo in the country and consists of a “B2C exhibition” for general visitors and a “B2B consultation meeting” for business matching and discussions.

The B2B business consultation meeting, held from September 18-19, will feature 85 domestic webtoon companies such as Naver Webtoon and Kakao Entertainment, along with 75 international buyers including Crunchyroll (Japan) and Bilibili Comics (China).

The B2C exhibition, from the 19th to the 21st, will gather a total of 130 companies including webtoon studios, platforms, companies creating secondary content using IP, individual and amateur creators.

Unlike previous events that were company-centric, this expo allows students and aspiring authors to participate freely by setting up booths, promoting an open event format.

Various side events will also be offered, such as the “Webtoon Golden Bell” for visitors, a special program by YouTuber “Manhwa Sunbae,” and lectures by popular webtoon artists.

Jisook Kang, head of Gyeonggi-do’s Content Industry Division, stated, “Webtoons are a pride and core element of K-content. Considering the reality that it is challenging to seize overseas opportunities without going through well-known platforms, the Gyeonggi International Webtoon Fair will be a strong supporter for small webtoon production companies and creators.”
