Green Symphony in the City: Seoul International Garden Expo

[Anchor]

On the last day of the holiday today (25th), Seoul’s downtown parks are bustling with visitors.

We have a newscaster at the Seoul International Garden Expo, which is being held on the largest scale ever this year.

Let’s connect to the scene.

Kim Ki-eun, the newscaster.

[Newscaster]

Yes, I am here at Seoul Forest where the Seoul International Garden Expo is being held.

As you can see behind me, this place has transformed into a colorful garden.

On the last day of the holiday, visitors continue to flock here.

This year’s expo, under the theme ‘Seoul, Green Culture,’ boasts the largest scale ever, connecting Seoul Forest, the Han River, and Seongsu area into a single garden.

A total of 167 gardens have been created across the vast grounds.

This year, the enthusiasm is so high that the visitor count surpassed 2.5 million within 20 days of the opening.

Notably, you can see works from world-renowned garden designers, including France’s ‘Henri Bava,’ Hwang Ji-hae, and Jung Young-sun, all in one place.

There’s also a ‘docent tour’ conducted three times a day with a garden guide.

Additionally, scanning the QR codes installed at each garden provides explanations in nine languages, allowing visitors to enjoy the artworks more easily and in depth.

You can’t leave out the food at a festival, right?

There’s a food zone with food trucks and a direct market where you can taste various snacks.

This expo will take place for 180 days until October, marking the longest duration ever.

It is open for free to everyone.

How about wrapping up the holiday by enjoying the romantic gardens here at Seoul Forest?
