[SC Issue] Ko Hyun-jung, Longing for Her Children… “I Really Feel Sorry to My Family” Tears Up

Actress Ko Hyun-jung expressed her heartfelt feelings towards her family.
On the 24th, tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’ (hereafter referred to as ‘You Quiz’) released a teaser video featuring Ko Hyun-jung. Yoo Jae-suk welcomed her appearance by saying, “I was really surprised to see you come in,” and Ko Hyun-jung replied with a bright smile, “I’m so glad you called me ‘sister’.” Appearing on a talk show for the first time in 15 years, Ko Hyun-jung joked, “I used to be an entertainment star, but I’ve neglected variety shows too much. I’ve imagined appearing on ‘Infinite Challenge’ a lot. How long has it been since I’ve been on a national show!”
However, Ko Hyun-jung showed tears when talking about her family, making those around her feel sympathetic. She revealed, “I was the typical K-first-born daughter. I am so grateful and truly sorry to my family. There were so many harsh moments,” expressing her emotional side.
Ko Hyun-jung got married to Shinsegae Chairman Chung Yong-jin in 1995 and had one son and one daughter, but they divorced in 2003. The custody of the children was granted to Chairman Chung.
Since then, Ko Hyun-jung has often expressed her longing for her children. After winning the grand prize at the 2009 MBC Drama Awards, she moved the audience by saying, “I hope my children are watching.” Recently, she broke away from her mysterious image by opening a social media account to communicate with the public. In September, she garnered attention by posting a photo of her father’s ID photo and a picture taken with her two children to celebrate Chuseok.
