The police have revealed the identity of the suspect who killed a mother and daughter in a Gangnam office-tel.
This mugshot was taken of 65-year-old Park Hak-seon right after his arrest.
This is the first identity disclosure under the Major Crimes Publicity Act that allows law enforcement agencies to photograph and publish the faces of criminal suspects since its implementation in January this year.
The Seoul Police Department’s Identity Information Public Hearing Committee cited the brutality of the crime and the severity of the damage as reasons for the disclosure.
Park is accused of killing a woman in her 60s, A, and A’s daughter in her 30s, B, by hitting them with a weapon at an office-tel in Daechi-dong, Seoul, around 6:20 p.m. on the evening of the 30th of last month.
