“Enhanced Prestige” BMW New X3 Launched in Korea… Price up to 99.9 Million Won

BMW Korea launched the 4th generation ‘New X3’ on the 28th, featuring a strong presence and enhanced digital convenience.

Since its first generation launch in 2003, the BMW X3 has sold over 3.5 million units worldwide. The new 4th generation BMW New X3 stands out with its larger body, luxurious yet bold exterior and interior designs compared to the previous generation. It also incorporates the latest BMW Operating System 9.

The New X3 applies a new design language to the unique proportions of BMW’s X models, achieving a cohesive exterior look. The body length and width have increased while the height has decreased compared to the previous generation, giving it a more dynamic proportion.

The high-performance model, New X3 M50 xDrive, features several M-exclusive designs such as horizontal bars on the M kidney grille, M-specific side mirror covers, an M exhaust system with four tailpipes, and 21-inch M wheels.

Inside, the driver-centric design is modernly reinterpreted to harmonize with the exterior atmosphere. The 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 14.9-inch control display are integrated into the BMW Curved Display, while the minimized center console buttons offer a simple yet futuristic ambience.

The BMW New X3 includes a new form of BMW Interaction Smart Bar. The lighting design surrounding the bottom of the control display, front seat door handles, and the underside storage of the center console highlights the three-dimensional characteristics of the front seats.

All models come standard with a panoramic glass roof, offering an open interior feel. The vegan material Veganza is standard on all models except the New X3 M50 xDrive’s sports seats. The M Sport Pro trim and New X3 M50 xDrive model feature a luxury dashboard made from recycled materials, adding a touch of elegance.

The latest BMW Operating System 9, which supports the ‘QuickSelect’ function, is applied to the New X3. This system allows easy use of the infotainment system without moving to sub-menus and offers a touch-centric intuitive user interface, making vehicle capabilities as easy to control as a smartphone.

The TMAP-based Korean BMW navigation system, providing map information through online streaming, is also included as standard.

Driving assistance features such as active cruise control with stop & go, lane change assist, forward collision warning, lane-keeping assist, and rear collision warning are included in the ‘Driving Assistant Professional’. Parking assistance features such as surround view and reverse assistance are part of the ‘Parking Assistant Plus’ package, available as standard.

All models of the New X3 come with 48-volt mild-hybrid technology, which uses an 11-horsepower starter-generator to support the engine, improving driving performance and fuel efficiency while minimizing vibrations during restarts.

The gasoline model BMW New X3 20 xDrive boasts a BMW TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder gasoline engine with a maximum output of 190 horsepower and a peak torque of 31.6 kg·m. Its certified combined fuel efficiency improved by 1.1 km/l to 10.9 km per liter, and its carbon dioxide emissions reduced by 11.6% to 153 g/km compared to the previous generation. The high-performance BMW New X3 M50 xDrive incorporates a more powerful mild-hybrid technology delivering a maximum output of 18 horsepower and a peak torque of 20.4 kg.m from an integrated electric motor combined with an M TwinPower Turbo 3-liter inline 6-cylinder gasoline engine, achieving a maximum output of 398 horsepower and peak torque of 59.1 kg·m. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds. All models feature an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission paired with the BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive system.

The New X3 pricing is as follows: New X3 20 xDrive ranges from 68.9 million to 79.9 million won, New X3 20d xDrive ranges from 72.7 million to 78.9 million won, and the single-trim New X3 M50 xDrive is 99.9 million won (including VAT).
