CJ CheilJedang’s kimchi dumpling product is being recalled due to the detection of plastic. According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and CJ CheilJedang, plastic was found in their Bibigo Jinhan Kimchi Dumplings, prompting the Incheon Jung District Office to stop sales and begin the recall process. The affected products have a consumption date until June 23 of next year, with approximately 1,600 units identified. CJ CheilJedang reports that the recall rate has reached about 60% so far. The issue was brought to attention after a consumer found a piece of plastic while consuming the product. A CJ CheilJedang representative stated that they are identifying the cause and conducting the recall, and they plan to strengthen their quality control system to prevent future occurrences.
