Wedding Dress Photo Studio Prices to be Disclosed on Websites and through Consumer Protection
(Sejong = Yonhap News) Reporter Min Kyung-rak – In the future, businesses offering wedding services such as photography studios, wedding dress reservations, and bridal makeup, as well as yoga and Pilates studios, will be required to disclose their pricing information on their websites.
The Fair Trade Commission announced on the 28th that it would issue a public notice by the 18th of next month about the revision of the “Important Labeling and Advertising Guidelines” that includes these details.
The revised guidelines require wedding service providers like wedding halls and wedding planning agencies to disclose their pricing structures and refund policies.
Wedding halls and wedding service providers must publish detailed descriptions and pricing for basic services and optional items, as well as penalties for contract cancellations and refund policies, either on their websites or through the Consumer Protection agency.
Yoga and Pilates businesses must also indicate the specific details of their services, basic and additional costs, and refund policies for early cancellations on their business premises and customer registration forms.
Fitness centers, yoga, and Pilates businesses are additionally required to disclose whether they have surety insurance, the name of the insurance provider, the duration of coverage, and the coverage amount.
The Fair Trade Commission plans to finalize and enforce the revised guidelines after reviewing feedback from stakeholders and related departments during the administrative notice period and undergoing a commission meeting.
