(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Cho Seung-han = The Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity, the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education, and Boryeong (formerly Boryeong Pharmaceutical) signed a memorandum of understanding on the 2nd to collaborate on nurturing creative convergence talents in the aerospace field, it was announced on the 3rd.
Through the agreement, the three institutions will cooperate to foster talents in the aerospace field and spread the culture of science and technology in the Incheon area, providing opportunities for participation in education.
To achieve this, they will promote cooperation in educational activities for the expansion of education in the aerospace field, collaborate on student education and teacher training programs to activate the aerospace sector, and support domestic and international institutional linkages in the aerospace field.
Through this agreement, Boryeong announced plans to further expand the “Humans in Space (HIS) Youth” program, a youth space science competition ongoing with the Foundation since last year, and to systematically nurture young talents in the domestic space medicine field.
Jung Woo-sung, Chairman of the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity, said, “I look forward to nurturing creative convergence talents who will lead the New Space era through this agreement.”
Kim Jeong-gyun, CEO of Boryeong, said, “Through the HIS Youth program, we will foster a foundation for nurturing talents in domestic space medicine by supporting future generations of youth to take an interest in space medicine, discover creative ideas, and develop scientific inquiry skills.”
