Byun Woo-seok and Kim Hye-yoon’s subway advertisement was taken down because there were complaints asking, “Why are the two of them together?”

The fan voting service GIFTREE explained why the subway advertisement featuring actors Byeon Woo-seok and Kim Hye-yoon was taken down. On January 22, GIFTREE’s management announced, “We would like to inform you about the reason for the suspension of the advertisement for Byeon Woo-seok & Kim Hye-yoon, who ranked first in the November season vote, on January 17 (Friday). After the advertisement was displayed, more than 40 complaints were received by the transportation corporation questioning ‘why the two appeared together.’ According to the corporation’s internal policy, if even one complaint is received, the advertisement must be suspended, hence it was halted urgently.”
