‘A technology that analyzes the shape of buried heritage and digitizes it has received the CES Innovation Award for the first time in the national heritage technology field.’
The National Heritage Agency announced today (18th) that the ‘Development of an Intelligent Solution for Creating Digital Survey Drawings of Cultural Heritage’ has won an innovation award at the ‘2025 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES)’, the world’s largest information and communication technology (ICT) convergence exhibition.
The awarded product, ‘ARch3D Liner’ by Caratfund Co., Ltd., is specialized software that creates digital survey drawings by analyzing the shape of buried heritage using 3D scan data and artificial intelligence technology.
The National Heritage Agency has established the ‘1st Basic Plan for Research and Development of National Heritage Preservation, Management, and Utilization (2021-2025)’ and is promoting the development of ‘Smart Preservation and Utilization Technology for National Heritage’ by investing approximately 48.9 billion won in 15 research projects over five years starting in 2021.
‘ARch3D Liner’ is also part of this project and has received a budget of 2.5 billion won since 2022.
The National Heritage Agency explained the significance of this award by stating, “This is the first CES Innovation Award in the national heritage-related technology field.”
