On December 5th, the world’s largest music streaming platform Spotify released its ‘Top Tracks of 2024 Global’ list, detailing the most streamed songs worldwide throughout the year. Jungkook included two of his solo tracks in this list. His solo debut song “Seven” and the solo album title track “Standing Next to You” were ranked 28th and 34th, respectively, both making it into the top 50 most streamed songs globally in 2024, showcasing his immense influence.
Jungkook stands out as the only Asian artist with multiple songs in the top 50 of the ‘Top Tracks of 2024 Global’ list. He also made history as the first Asian solo artist to have multiple songs simultaneously ranked in Spotify’s global year-end recap list. “Seven” maintained its massive hit status by appearing on the year-end list for two consecutive years, having reached 4th in Spotify’s ‘Top Tracks of 2023 Global’ last year. Additionally, “Seven” secured 41st place on Apple Music’s ‘Top Songs of 2024: Global,’ achieving the milestone of being the only K-pop solo artist’s song to make it onto the list for two consecutive years.
