Jimin of BTS has been ranked as the top K-pop solo artist in the “2024 Power Celebrity 40” list by Forbes Korea. He secured the 7th spot overall and the 4th spot among all singers including groups. Forbes Korea highlighted Jimin’s involvement in writing and composing all the songs in his first solo album “FACE” released in March last year, and especially mentioned the song “Promise” as his first self-composed track that gained attention from fans. Due to his high international recognition, he was chosen as the global ambassador for high-end jewelry brand Tiffany in March last year.
Jimin, showcasing his unwavering status as a prominent figure in K-pop, set a Guinness World Record for the most streams on SoundCloud within 24 hours and the most streams on the platform with the release of “Promise” in 2018. Additionally, he was appointed as the global ambassador for Dior before Tiffany, proving his influence in the fashion industry as well. Forbes Korea also analyzed and announced the market value and influence of celebrities in various fields in the “2024 Power Celebrity 40 – Top 10 by Category,” with Jimin ranking 2nd overall in the social media category and highest among solo artists.
The media praised Jimin for being active on Twitter and exerting significant influence on Instagram and TikTok as well. They noted that the hashtag #JIMIN on Twitter is recognized as a brand itself, and his Instagram mentions exceeded 70 million, setting a record for the highest individual mentions among global figures. Jimin released his first solo album “FACE” last March after ten years since his debut, which received a great response by topping major charts worldwide, including the Billboard Hot 100, making him the first Korean solo artist to achieve this feat. Even in 2024, over a year later, Jimin continues to boast enduring popularity.
