**Requirements for National Consent Petition Met**

The National Assembly Secretariat announced on the 10th that the national consent petition demanding the expulsion of Representative Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party and the impeachment of constitutional judges Lee Mi-sun and Jeong Gye-seon has met the requirements for establishment.

The petition, made public on the 5th, concerning the expulsion of Representative Lee Jae-myung, met the requirement of receiving over 50,000 consents within 30 days by the 7th since its disclosure.

This petition calls for the expulsion of Representative Lee from parliament on grounds including his push for executing an arrest warrant against President Yoon Seok-yeol.

Additionally, the petition asserting that constitutional judges Lee Mi-sun and Jeong Gye-seon should be impeached for conducting biased trials was also made public on the 5th and surpassed the 50,000 consent threshold. These petitions were forwarded to the relevant standing committee, the Legislation and Judiciary Committee, on the 7th.

Furthermore, a petition made public last month on the 6th titled “Creating a Reliable Election Culture Free of Electoral Fraud” also met the requirements and was transferred to the Public Administration and Security Committee on the 5th.

This particular petition specifically requests the prohibition of pre-voting and absentee voting in public elections and suggests electoral system improvements, such as publicly opening and counting ballots immediately after voting ends.

Moreover, a petition proposing the prohibition of election candidacy for those with criminal records also garnered over 50,000 consents and was referred to the same committee.
