Baek Ji-young appears on ‘My Ugly Duckling’: “Divorce is a sad and painful thing… It was difficult being completely alone.”

(Seoul=News1) Reporter Jang Ah-Reum: Actor Lee Beom-soo reveals his surprisingly “analog human” lifestyle on ‘My Ugly Duckling’.

In the teaser for the next episode shown at the end of the April 5th broadcast of SBS’s ‘My Ugly Duckling’, Lee Beom-soo makes an appearance.

In the footage, Lee first appears attending a basic computer class for seniors, using the “chicken peck” typing method to focus on the lesson, drawing attention. He also caught eyes by confessing, “The word I hate the most in the world is ‘login’.”

Later, when Lee tried to watch OTT at home, he was frustrated from the start by the prompt to log in. He called a friend for help, but when his friend mentioned “since you have an account,” he humorously replied, “What is my account?”

Lee also visited a bank to withdraw 50,000 won in 1,000 won bills. When the bank teller asked if he would pay parking fees in cash instead of by bank transfer, and Lee expressed his surprise, saying, “Transfer? Don’t I need to go to an ATM, leaving the parking lot?” After being told it’s all possible via an app, Lee’s reaction elicited a “This is too much” from the show’s “Mothers’ Avengers”.

Afterwards, Lee shared with the production team, “Many people know I’ve had personal matters in the past 2-3 years,” adding, “I didn’t want to draw attention due to something sad, painful, and embarrassing. Being completely alone was really hard, it was truly difficult,” sparking curiosity about his story.

Meanwhile, Lee Beom-soo married translator Lee Yoon-jin in 2010 and they had one son and one daughter, but faced a divorce in March 2024 after 14 years of marriage.
