The Korea Aerospace Administration announced today (10th) that the launch date for the space telescope ‘SPHEREx’, jointly developed by NASA and the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute, has been rescheduled to around noon on the 11th, Korean time.
Originally, SPHEREx was scheduled to be launched on February 28th at 12:09 PM (local time 7:09 PM on the 27th) from the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California aboard SpaceX’s Falcon 9.
However, due to check-ups and other reasons before the launch, it has been postponed seven times so far, and the new launch date has been set for 12:09 PM on the 11th (local time 7:09 PM on the 10th).
Nevertheless, there is still a possibility that the launch schedule may change due to weather conditions, making the final launch uncertain.
