An active-duty Army officer who installed a hidden camera in the women’s restroom of a church at a military base has been handed over to the prosecution.
According to News1 on the 25th, the Chungbuk Provincial Police Agency has booked Army Chaplain Major A without detention on charges of attempted illegal filming using a camera under the Sexual Violence Punishment Act. An Army chaplain refers to a Christian pastor affiliated with a military unit.
Major A is accused of installing cameras in the trash cans of three stalls in the restroom of the church at his affiliated military base on August 2nd. His crime was thwarted when a female civilian churchgoer, who was cleaning the restroom, discovered the cameras.
