SKT Hosts Devotion Tech Day… Sharing Case Studies on AI Studies

SK Telecom holds the ‘6th Devotion Tech Day’ where 102 developers voluntarily operated an artificial intelligence (AI) technology study for 12 weeks. The event took place at SKT Tower Spekx Hall on the 8th, with the theme focusing on the growth stories of the 102 developers who gathered at Devotion Open Lab for 12 weeks. In April, SKT established the ‘Devotion Open Lab’, an AI-centered study program led by Devotion experts.

The Devotion Open Lab has been running a total of 10 study programs focusing on AI-related topics such as generative AI, open LLM, LLM Ops, backend, and network infrastructures that are currently gaining attention in the development ecosystem.

At this Tech Day event, four demo booths showcasing project results were presented, including an LLM-based teddy bear ‘Eco Teddy’ for emotional support for autistic children, an automated data extraction and query execution solution ‘Lens’, an automatic AI problem generation tool ‘LLM Edubank’, and a travel schedule solution for users ‘TGO’.

SKT emphasized the significance of this Devotion Tech Day where real-world developers had extensive exchanges of AI development knowledge for a long period compared to past events that were simply lecture-based. An Jung-hwan, CHRO of SKT’s corporate culture division, stated, “Over the past 12 weeks, through the Devotion Open Lab, we strengthened the solidarity among developers and led a high-quality development culture that fosters the exchange and advancement of the latest AI technologies.” He added that SKT will continue to focus on enhancing the competitiveness of domestic developers in the rapidly changing AI ecosystem.
