Parnas Hotel has completed the establishment of an international standard food safety management system and all its branches have obtained ISO 22000 certification. Parnas Hotel Jeju prepared for two years to receive the ISO 22000 certification, a food safety management system standard by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). This certification ensures food safety beyond legal requirements, protects consumers, and promotes the continuous growth of companies through a voluntary food safety management system.
ISO 22000 consists of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) and provides international standards necessary to systematically design and operate a food safety management system that offers safe and reliable food across the entire supply chain.
Parnas Hotel Jeju, which opened in July 2022, had been preparing for ISO 22000 certification from its inception. By undergoing a rigorous audit process to obtain the certification, it has established a management system that meets international standards at every step, including purchasing, storage, preparation, and service of food ingredients used by the hotel.
With this certification, all five-star hotels operated by Parnas Hotel have acquired ISO 22000 certification. Since the Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas and Intercontinental Seoul COEX became the first five-star hotels in Korea to receive ISO 22000 certification in 2014, they have continuously maintained the certification while providing services that meet global standards.
A representative from Parnas Hotel stated, “The ISO 22000 certification reflects the food safety management philosophy and the sustainable management values of Parnas Hotel Jeju,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to provide trustworthy and safe food and services that meet global standards to our customers.”
