Naver Membership members can watch Netflix for free.

Netflix announced on the 26th that it will offer its ad-supported standard plan to Naver Plus Membership members at no extra cost. This plan has been added as one of the digital content benefits available to those subscribed to Naver’s subscription service, Naver Plus Membership.

The Netflix ad-supported standard plan allows viewers to watch in 1080p (Full HD) quality, with two simultaneous streams, unlimited mobile games, and content downloads, along with some ads. Members can upgrade to various higher-tier Netflix plans by paying additional fees.

A Netflix representative stated, “Through this collaboration, we aim to enhance user convenience and benefits, thereby increasing the value of membership for Naver Plus members by providing high-quality content and games for a premium global entertainment experience.”

On the 29th, Netflix will release new content, including the mystery melodrama series “Trunk” starring Seo Hyun-jin and Gong Yoo, and the reality dating show “Single’s Inferno Season 4.” The highly anticipated release of “Squid Game” Season 2 is also approaching. Additionally, Netflix has been expanding its live broadcast offerings, such as professional boxing, to strengthen its library.

In the meantime, Netflix gained approximately 5.07 million new subscribers worldwide in the last quarter. The number of subscribers for the ad-supported plan increased by 35% compared to the previous quarter, and the global monthly active users (MAU) for Netflix’s ad-supported membership is about 70 million.
