**From the Planning Stage, Utilizing AI
Completing Exhibition Hall Design and Story with an AI Trained for 300 Days**
LG Uplus announced on the 28th that they are focusing on the final touches to showcase an exhibition hall created in collaboration with Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, which will be held in Barcelona, Spain, from March 3rd to 6th (local time).
LG Uplus utilized AI from the planning stage for the exhibition hall to be unveiled at MWC25. From April last year, they analyzed more than 500,000 pieces of learning data over approximately 300 days to design the exhibition and compose the overall design. They also increased space utilization based on predicted visitor paths using AI and enhanced the completeness with AI-applied experiential programs within the exhibition hall.
LG Uplus maximized interaction with visitors from the entrance to the internal experiences of the exhibition hall by using AI technology. The ‘LED Facade Wall’ at the entrance showcases AI-generated videos on the core theme of MWC25, “Secure Intelligence,” conveying visions of future society.
The entire exhibition hall is wrapped with an LED Facade Wall that repeatedly plays images and video content produced by AI on 10 pillars. Each pillar, measuring 2 meters wide and 5 meters high, uses 44 LEDs.
The content that LG Uplus will display on the Facade Wall contains the story of “Human-Centric AI.” The AI-crafted stories include themes such as △A future where people are happy △A future solving humanity’s challenges, including the environment △Underwater cities △Space power plants △Hologram zoos △Smart cities implementing Environment, Social responsibility, and Corporate Governance (ESG).
Through the process of composing stories with AI and producing matching image and video content, LG Uplus could reduce work time by approximately 30% compared to before.
Furthermore, LG Uplus placed an AI-based virtual human at the entrance of the exhibition hall to enable natural conversations with visitors. The virtual human will provide information about the exhibition while freely conversing with visitors and will also conduct satisfaction surveys after the exhibition.
LG Uplus closely collaborated with its LG Group affiliates. They used LEDs from LG Display for the Facade Wall and collaborated with the advertising agency HSAD for overall operations related to planning and design of the exhibition hall.
