LGU+ begins filming fantasy action series ‘Twelve’… To be released next year

Based on the Eastern Zodiac…starring Ma Dong-seok, Park Hyung-sik, Seo In-guk, Sung Dong-il, Lee Joo-bin: StudioX+U, a content studio under LG Uplus, announced on the 31st that it will produce a fantasy action blockbuster series titled ‘Twelve’.

The series ‘Twelve’ is inspired by the Eastern Zodiac and tells the story of twelve celestial beings living in human form in the human world to protect humans from evil spirits. It depicts a grand battle against the forces of evil attempting to awaken sealed powers. With a unique world setting involving the Eastern Zodiac and evil spirits, the series aims to provide a distinctive viewing experience through a new and engaging narrative.

The cast includes Ma Dong-seok, Park Hyung-sik, Seo In-guk, Sung Dong-il, Lee Joo-bin, Ko Kyoo-pil, Kang Mi-na, Sung Yoo-bin, An Ji-hye, and Regina Lei, who have all confirmed their roles. Filming for ‘Twelve’ began this month with the goal of releasing it next year.

Previously, StudioX+U showcased its competitive edge in the global market with the mystery thriller ‘No Way Out: The Roulette’, released through Disney+ and U+ Mobile TV.

Lee Deok-jae, Chief Content Officer (CCO) of LG Uplus, stated, “Twelve is an original content with a vast world setting based on the Eastern Zodiac folklore. It is a global project that will offer a new viewing experience to audiences both domestic and international.” He further added, “We plan to continue enhancing the planning and production capabilities of STUDIO X+U by introducing a variety of genre content.”
