KT (CEO Kim Young-seob) announced on the 30th that it held the KT Digital Talent Scholarship Connecting Day event for university students selected as the KT Digital Talent Scholars for the year 2025. During the event, 40 scholarship recipients were awarded scholarship certificates, which cover tuition fees and provide AI-related education.
The event included the awarding of scholarship certificates, team-building programs, sharing operational directions, and discussion sessions. In the discussion sessions, the scholars shared their concerns about the future and efforts to resolve them, while also conveying their expectations for KT.
KT plans to offer various follow-up programs to help the scholars grow into talents leading future tech innovations based on AI. These include advanced AI education, team projects with KT employees, and mentoring.
From February 2 to 19, KT conducted the selection process and selected a total of 40 university students as scholarship recipients. They will receive full tuition support for up to four semesters.
KT’s Executive Vice President of ESG Management Promotion, Oh Tae-sung, stated, “Investment in future generations and technology is a key driving force for KT’s sustainable innovation. We will continue to provide practical support, such as mentoring with KT employees, to ensure the KT Digital Talent Scholars grow into AI experts leading Korea’s future.”
