KT and Microsoft Korea to Host Workshop to Accelerate AI Transition in Industry

KT announced on the 14th that it held a B2B AX business strategy workshop based on its strategic partnership with Microsoft. The workshop took place at the Novotel Ambassador Seoul Dongdaemun and was attended by about 200 employees from both companies, including KT President Kim Young-seob and Jo Won-woo, the head of Microsoft Korea.

Participants first watched a video reflecting on the significance of the KT-Microsoft strategic partnership signed last September and shared future business plans. In detail, Jung Woo-jin, head of KT’s Strategic Business Consulting Division, presented KT’s 2025 AX business direction under the theme ‘2025, The Year of AX-celeration’. Jo Won-woo, CEO of Microsoft Korea, outlined Microsoft’s overall business plans for 2025.

Following this, Song Seung-ho, head of KT’s SPA division, along with a Microsoft Korea executive, discussed practical market strategies based on their partnership and shared insights on effective AI transformation specific to individual industries such as public and financial sectors. The workshop concluded with KT President Kim Young-seob discussing the significance and key takeaways of the event.

Jeon Seung-rok, head of KT’s GTM division, remarked, “This was a meaningful occasion to clarify the direction as we approach the practical execution of the AX cooperative business,” and added, “In partnership with Microsoft, KT aims to provide the utmost value to customers in the AI, cloud, and IT-based digital innovation era.”

Park Seung-myun, Microsoft’s Strategic Division head, noted, “This cooperation between the two companies is expected to create new synergies in the domestic AI and cloud market,” and projected that “2025 will be a turning point where AI becomes a core technology in our daily lives and work.” He further mentioned that Microsoft plans to actively support the successful AI transformation journey of domestic customers with reliable and innovative technology.
