4,400 Entries from Elementary, Middle, and High Schools Nationwide; 206 Works Selected, “The Korea Post Office Talent Development Institute, led by Director Park Tae-hee, announced the final winners of the 2025 Post Office Cultural Exhibition on the 22nd.”
The exhibition, which saw participation from over 4,400 elementary, middle, and high school students nationwide, was held from June 17 to August 29, 2025. Its aim was to spread the value of post offices and enhance the creativity of youth.
The contest included categories for children’s drawing and writing, with over 3,500 drawing entries and 900 writing entries received. A thorough evaluation based on creativity, relevance to the theme, and completeness led to the awarding of 206 entries.
In the lower elementary school category for drawing, the top prize went to “The Post Office Toy Blocks I Made” by Kim Tae-yul, a third grader from Daegu Sawol Elementary. The piece was lauded for its childlike color palette and imaginative depiction of post office life.
The top prize in the upper elementary school drawing category was awarded to “The Joint North-South Post Office, Delivered by the Box of Hope” by Oh Seo-yun, a fourth grader from Habaek Elementary. This piece conveyed a message of peace by narrating the story of Korean reunification from a child’s perspective, receiving praise for its pure and sincere expression.
In the lower elementary writing category, the top prize went to “The Postman Uncle” by Kim Seo-hee, a first grader from Hana Ram Elementary. This work humorously depicted the dedication of postal workers through various animals such as magpies, cheetahs, and hippos, earning praise for capturing the postman’s heart with humor and imagination.
Park Tae-hee, director of the Korea Post Office Talent Development Institute, commented, “Thanks to the great interest and participation, the Post Office Cultural Exhibition is growing with each passing year. We will strive to make the post office not just a space for postal services, but a cultural venue that connects people and hearts.”
