Gravity announced the official global release of their new turn-based RPG, “WiZmans World Re;Try,” on the 19th. “WiZmans World Re;Try” is an HD remaster of the 2009 JRPG “WiZmans World” by Japanese game developer JALECO. The original was noted for its pixel graphics and challenging difficulty. The remaster version has improved graphics, new and rearranged background music (BGM), and optimized user interface (UI) and gameplay, maintaining the original’s authenticity while enhancing the overall quality.
The game is set in a city isolated from the outside world, focusing on the story of a wizard surrounded by citizens who have lost their memories and the truth of the dungeon. Players can challenge dungeons that have not been escaped for 100 years, engaging in battles with monsters. Through Anima Fusion, players can raise homunculi that inherit monster abilities and skills to assemble a party. In the turn-based combat, chain attacks and elemental affinities—such as water, fire, wind, and earth—and strategic consideration of timelines play crucial roles.
Gravity has previously showcased this title at gaming events such as Korea’s G-STAR, PlayX4, Tokyo Game Show, PAX EAST and PAX WEST in North America, and Taipei Game Show in Taiwan.
“WiZmans World Re;Try” is available for purchase by download on platforms including Steam, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch™, and Xbox One, priced at 32,000 KRW. The game supports Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. To celebrate the official launch, a 10% discount is available on Steam until March 5th.
Jin On Park, Gravity’s business team manager, stated, “WiZmans World Re;Try is an HD remaster version that retains the sensibility and core fun of the original while enhancing graphics, sound, and the overall user interface (UI). We expect it to provide a highly complete turn-based RPG experience for both existing fans and new users.”
