“Even an open run… increased awareness of postal financial services at the Seongsu-dong pop-up store”

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Cho Sung-mi: The Ministry of Science and ICT’s Korea Post announced on the 29th that it successfully increased awareness of postal banking by operating a pop-up store in Seongsu-dong, Seoul.

From the 22nd to the 28th, Korea Post hosted the “Post Office Santa’s Wish Shop” at Earth Hour in Yeonmujang-gil, Seongsu-dong, in collaboration with MasterCard. The event featured various activities such as “Santa’s Travel Agency,” “Santa’s Gift Shop,” and “Santa’s Wish Tree.”

Korea Post reported that a total of 2,756 people visited the pop-up store, with all pre-booking spots filling up quickly before the event began, leading to an “open run” where people lined up for first-come-first-served entry, demonstrating significant interest.

Before experiencing the pop-up store, only 62.9% of participants were aware of postal banking, but this figure jumped to 98% afterward.

Although, initially, 91.1% of survey respondents said they did not use postal banking, 92.4% expressed willingness to use it after experiencing the pop-up store.
