“Yoon seems extremely selfish”… What Cho Gab-je said to the 45 lawmakers who gathered at the official residence.

A group of 45 People’s Power Party lawmakers gathered in front of President Yoon’s official residence. Amid claims from President Yoon Suk-yeol’s side that the arrest warrant for the president is illegal and invalid, and that they are not complying with the warrant, conservative commentator Cho Gab-je, head of Cho Gab-je.com, criticized the president.

On the SBS radio show “Kim Tae-hyun’s Political Show” on the 10th, Cho remarked, “The president, as a citizen of the Republic of Korea, should comply with the arrest warrant,” and added, “There is no way to appeal.”

Cho continued, “However, an appeal was made, and the court kindly responded. Yet, the move to file a constitutional complaint for conflict of authority was also dismissed,” adding that in this scenario, not even the title of ‘legal wrangler’ would apply.

He criticized, “There are legal options like requesting a legality review post-arrest or undergoing a substantive review of the detention warrant, but for President Yoon, who has a legal background as a former Prosecutor General, to act this way is unreasonable,” emphasizing, “Please remember the world is watching this situation.”

Cho went further to say that President Yoon appears to be an extreme egotist who only thinks of himself, “If he were to consider at least his subordinates, the country, and the People’s Power Party, he would not act this way.”

Regarding the possibility of successfully re-executing the arrest warrant, he responded, “If it cannot be executed, we might as well dissolve the Republic of Korea.”

In relation to the 45 People’s Power Party lawmakers claiming the ‘illegal arrest warrant is void’ in front of the residence, he questioned, “Won’t they end up on a blacklist later on?”

He also pointed out, “Even after President Yoon is convicted of treason and decides to defend this after being dismissed, it would leave a record. It’s a very historical photograph, but can they carry this photo around and ask for votes?”
