The Presidential Office: “We will accept recommendations for ministers and vice ministers from the public for one week.”

The presidential office in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, has announced plans to implement a personnel recommendation system for key positions that the president can appoint, such as ministers, vice-ministers, and heads of public institutions.

On the 10th, Kang Yoo-jung, spokesperson for the presidential office, stated, “The Lee Jae-myung administration is launching the ‘Real Workers Discovery Project’ starting today for a week.” She added that this system supports the governance philosophy of a people-sovereignty government, emphasizing the use of collective intelligence to find genuine talent who works sincerely for the people.

Kang further highlighted that the Lee Jae-myung administration aims to open the doors to a people-sovereignty government by discovering true talent that serves the public through a transparent and fair personnel recommendation system.

Recommendations can be submitted by leaving a post on the National Recommendation System website operated by the Ministry of Personnel Management, or by sending a message or letter through President Lee Jae-myung’s social media account or email.

The government plans to compile a database of the recommended personnel, undergo personnel verification and public scrutiny procedures, and appoint individuals accordingly.
