The Democratic Party sets up a ‘tent’ in Gwanghwamun for emergency action… Intensifying public opinion campaign.

The Democratic Party of Korea is continuing emergency actions, including setting up a tent protest site in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, to call for the impeachment of President Yoon Suk-yeol. Lawmakers from the Democratic Party plan to participate in an emergency general assembly meeting and a rally in Gwanghwamun today (11th), as well as hold a series of speeches condemning President Yoon. Furthermore, some members will stay at the National Assembly to be on standby and will individually start hunger strikes to actively engage in public opinion campaigns. In the emergency assembly meeting held late last night, the Democratic Party also discussed the issue of pushing for the impeachment of Acting President Choi Sang-mok and Prosecutor General Sim Woo-jung, but no conclusions were reached.
