Lee Jun-seok: “Lee Jae-myung should not take the wheel”

Supporters of Lee Jae-myung stated, “The person who shouldn’t be at the wheel is Lee Jun-seok.” Reform Party lawmaker Lee Jun-seok recently criticized Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung, stating that “politics is not a game on the road.”

On social media, Lee Jun-seok commented, “It is a well-known fact that Lee Jae-myung should not be in control of the wheel for various reasons,” adding, “Whether it’s driving or politics, doing it this way will result in accidents.”

He continued, “Despite this, he has been displaying behaviors such as straddling lanes, making sudden stops and starts, and changing lanes without signaling in the political arena over the past few days. A car carrying the public is not your personal experiment lab. Drive with caution and responsibility.”

Additionally, he advised, “If you’re turning left, do it from the left lane, and if turning right, use the right curb lane. Signal properly and practice defensive driving while entering. If you’re in the left lane with the right blinker on, the public will naturally question, ‘What is influencing his driving?'”

In response, Lee Jae-myung supporters recalled a moment from February 2019, when Lee Jun-seok, then a top member of the Bareunmirae Party, famously participated in a news segment about the introduction of Kakao’s carpool service by driving a taxi for two months, working ’12 hours a day, 6 days a week’ to understand the taxi industry’s challenges.

Footage from that period shows Lee driving a corporate taxi with the side mirrors folded in, gesturing to the camera. Lee Jae-myung’s supporters criticized Lee Jun-seok by saying, “It’s not his place to speak, considering he drove only looking forward with his side mirrors folded,” and accused him of pursuing his objectives without considering left or right, focusing solely on divisive tactics.
