[Herald Economy = Kim Hae-sol] On the 29th, Lee Jun-seok, the head of the Reform New Party, criticized the People Power Party for expelling former lawmaker Lee Hye-hoon after she was selected as the nominee for the first head of the Planning and Budget Office under the Lee Jae-myung administration, saying, “This is not a time to label former lawmaker Lee as a traitor.”

At the supreme council meeting held at the National Assembly on the same day, Lee stated, “Is it our duty to execute deserters and point fingers at them as traitors? It’s time for the conservative camp to present an attractive vision and discourse to the public that offers hope,” he expressed this sentiment.

Lee further emphasized, “If someone has turned their back, we need to examine why they left instead of cursing them. Now is the time for us to practice true resilience.”

He pointed out, “The conservative camp has been calling for enhanced internal homogeneity and has now reached a point where further external expansion is impossible,” adding, “The conservatives are closing off while the Democratic Party is opening up.”

Regarding former lawmaker Lee, he remarked, “Prove your competence by preventing wasteful fiscal spending from the Lee Jae-myung administration. If you show acts of sycophancy to the president or collaborate with this regime, I will also be relentless in my criticism.”
