Jin Joong Kwon says about ‘Chinyun’ Lee Cheol-gyu, “I heard that the quality wasn’t good, but experiencing it firsthand…”

Jin Joong-kwon, a special professor at Kwangwoon University, commented on the People Power Party lawmaker Lee Cheol-gyu, known as ‘Chin Yoon’, saying, “I’ve heard many times from various sources that his quality is not good in many aspects, but experiencing it firsthand, I now understand what that means.”

Professor Jin posted on his Facebook on the 19th, stating, “When an article was posted in , I thought it might be a mistake, so I just linked the article and made a comment, but shortly after, the article was deleted… So I wrote a post. However, one question remained. It’s understandable to associate me with Kim Kyung-ryul, but why randomly associate me with Shin Ji-ho and Ham Woon-gyeong?” He further revealed, “Only after watching an interview with lawmaker Lee Cheol-gyu did I finally understand the reason.”

The article Professor Jin mentioned is from on the 14th, titled ‘[Exclusive] Han Dong-hoon to declare candidacy for party leader on the 23rd.’ According to this article, individuals including Kim Kyung-ryul, Jin Joong-kwon, and Shin Ji-ho were listed as advisors to Han, who is running for party leader.

It was also reported that Jin Hyung-gu, the father-in-law of one of the advisors, has been assisting with the election campaign preparations. However, this article was deleted online shortly after being exposed. Subsequently, lawmaker Lee Cheol-gyu mentioned the article that was “immediately taken down” after media coverage in a radio broadcast.

Professor Jin criticized the article, stating, “In short, this was all a setup to attack Han Dong-hoon, creating fake news with false facts, subtly leaking it to the media, going on broadcasts and amplifying it as if they were unaware… Even after the article was deleted, it seems they are actively reproducing the article through right-wing YouTubes in a very organized manner. Did they call this technology and get carried away with it?”

He questioned, “It’s okay to quarrel among themselves, but why drag me into it? Of course, during the general elections, such actions were probably happening within the party.” Jin also emphasized, “If you’re going to use technology, use it properly. How can someone who publicly converted 30 years ago and led the New-Light movement for over 20 years be labeled a communist… Even if you’re drawing a picture, it should at least make sense. What is this?”

He further added, “Kim Kyung-ryul was recruited as a non-standing committee member by Lee Cheol-gyu himself,” stating, “According to Kim Kyung-ryul, at the time, the recruitment committee member Jeong Hoon Cho advised him to join the non-standing committee, saying ‘This is the will of the recruitment committee chairman (Lee Cheol-gyu).’ From various political figures, but among them, ‘This person is truly wicked’ is not a common feeling. Lawmaker Lee Cheol-gyu is a rare person.”
