In a Facebook post, Mayor Hong said, “The Constitutional Court’s decision is the final judgement for which there can be no retrial or appeal,” expressing his expectations for the outcome.
He noted, “As the Constitutional Court’s judgment approaches, both camps seem to be reaching extremes with protests expected this weekend,” describing it as “a nation divided.”
Moreover, he emphasized, “Since both sides have done their best, I hope for a wise decision from the Court that will lead to a mutual acceptance from both camps, keeping in mind the Court’s conscientious conclusion.”
