On the 1st, Cho Kuk, the leader of the National Innovation Party, argued that the abolition of the Court Administration Office should follow the so-called ‘Judicial Reform Three Acts.’

On this day, Cho stated on his Facebook that “the public also feels the necessity.”

He mentioned, “The abolition of the Court Administration Office is one of the core judicial reforms promoted by the National Innovation Party,” and added, “It is an issue that academia and civic groups have long advocated.”

He recalled, “During my tenure as the Senior Presidential Secretary for Civil Affairs, I promoted judicial reforms along with prosecutorial reforms, such as adjusting investigative authority and establishing the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials,” and lamented, “Despite receiving all kinds of criticism, I couldn’t achieve it due to lack of power.”

He further criticized, “I became an enemy of both the prosecution and the court,” highlighting that “even after experiencing the judicial scandals of the Yang Seung-tae era, the then-ruling Democratic Party did not respond.”

He emphasized, “Everyone waved their hands saying ‘Don’t touch the courts,’ but now the situation has changed.”

Cho added, “Yoon Seok-youl and Cho Hee-dae have become living evidence of the necessity of prosecutorial and judicial reforms. In Buddhist terms, they are ‘reverse bodhisattvas’ (逆行菩薩),” and expressed hope to “seriously discuss the timing and method.”
