This is the current scene in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province. The level of ultrafine dust in Gyeonggi-do has risen to “bad,” and as you can see, the sky appears hazy. High ultrafine dust levels are also observed in Incheon, Chungcheong, Gyeongbuk, and Ulsan. Today, the average daily ultrafine dust concentration in the central western areas will remain at a “bad” level. Additionally, from this afternoon, the yellow dust will have an impact.
The yellow dust, which originated from the Gobi Desert and Inner Mongolia Plateau yesterday, will be carried by northwesterly winds, affecting the Gyeonggi west coast first and spreading nationwide by night. Tomorrow, most regions are expected to see fine dust concentrations rise from bad to very bad levels, so caution is advised. This afternoon, there will be light rain in parts of the metropolitan area and inland Gangwon.
The country will generally be cloudy today, with strong winds in the Gangwon Yeongdong region. Currently, the temperature is 7°C in Seoul, 4.3°C in Wonju, and 9.9°C in Busan, which is higher than yesterday morning. In the afternoon, temperatures will reach 11°C in Seoul, 15°C in Daejeon, Jeonju, Gwangju, and 18°C in Daegu, about 1-5 degrees lower than yesterday. The sea waves will be relatively low, ranging from 0.5 to 2 meters.
Mild weather will continue for the time being, but rain is expected nationwide on Sunday, bringing a cold snap. This has been your weather update.
