Son Heung-min, a player for LA FC in Major League Soccer (MLS), was spotted driving a Genesis GV80 Coupe himself in the United States, causing quite a stir. In just two days, the video has garnered over 670,000 views on Instagram.
According to Instagram and other sources on the 23rd, Son was seen driving the GV80 Coupe himself in Los Angeles (LA) the previous day. The video captured him rolling down his window to greet waiting fans and waving at them.
Global sports media outlet “Surprise Sports” reported in November last year that Son Heung-min accumulated 57.7 million pounds (approximately 111.2 billion won) through his legendary career at Tottenham. His current annual salary is said to be around 16 billion won.
Seeing the wealthy Son driving a GV80 has sparked reactions online such as “Our Heung loves domestic products and raises the national prestige,” and “It’s impressive that he drives a domestic car despite being wealthy.”
This is not the first time Son has been spotted with the GV80 Coupe in the US. Last November, photos surfaced in an online community of him stepping out of the same model car after finishing training at a stadium in downtown Los Angeles.
