Currently, this is the scene in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, where a heavy rain warning is in effect.
Strong rain has been falling since dawn, causing water to continuously flow on the roads, with thick fog covering the area.
The rain clouds are mainly passing through the Seoul metropolitan area and the inland areas of Gangwon Province. Particularly, in the northern part of Gyeonggi Province where strong rain clouds are lingering, there are places experiencing very heavy concentrated rainfall of 30 to 90mm per hour.
In the northeastern part of Gyeonggi Province, including Dongducheon, Yeoncheon, and Pocheon, a heavy rain warning is in effect, while in the northern inland areas of Gangwon Province such as Cheorwon and Hwacheon, a heavy rain advisory has been issued.
Today, heavy rain is expected to continue in the central regions, while in the southern regions, it is forecasted to ease up. However, from early tomorrow morning, rain clouds will affect the entire country.
Until tomorrow, the Seoul metropolitan area is expected to receive 60 to 120mm of rain, with over 200mm in the northern part of Gyeonggi Province. In addition, the western part of Gangwon Province and the northern part of Chungcheong Province are forecasted to receive over 120mm of heavy rain.
The southwestern regions and the northern part of Gyeongsangbuk Province are also expected to receive 20 to 80mm of rain.
With strong wind accompanying the rain, it is important to take thorough precautions to prevent any damage.
That’s all for the weather information.
