A special event featuring Korean cheerleader Lee Da-hye attracted around 150 tourists from Taiwan to Jeonbuk, South Korea. The Korean tourism organization collaborated with Taiwan’s top-selling travel agency, Cola Tour, to sell out a travel package that included a tour of Lee Da-hye’s hometown, Jeonju. Lee, who is known in Taiwan as a cheerleader with a successful career as a singer and popular YouTube content creator, joined the tourists for various experiences, including making Jeonju bibimbap, walking through Jeonju Hanok Village in hanbok, and participating in treasure hunt missions.
The tour also featured a fan meeting event in Wanju Daeseung Hanji Village, where visitors learned baseball cheering moves and participated in traditional Korean games. In recognition of her influence, Jeollabuk-do appointed Lee Da-hye as an honorary ambassador for tourism. Hosoo Young, head of the Korea Tourism Organization’s Taipei office, stated that this travel package effectively highlighted the appeal of Korea’s regional tourism to the Taiwanese market, and there are plans to combine unique content with various regional attractions for future travel offerings.
