Rain Expected in the Chungcheong and Southern Regions

On the morning of the 8th in Pohang, Gyeongbuk, the sky stretched out into a clear autumn blue.

The weather on Tuesday, the 9th, will see a decrease in heat, with rain mainly in the southern regions.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 8th, the morning low temperature on the 9th is forecasted to be between 18 and 24 degrees, and the daytime high is expected to be between 26 and 31 degrees, which is 1 to 3 degrees higher than the average (morning low of 16 to 21 degrees, daytime high of 25 to 28 degrees).

However, as cold and dry air moves in from the north, most of the nationwide heat advisories are expected to be lifted or eased. As we approach the autumn equinox (the 23rd), temperatures are gradually decreasing.

The expected high temperatures for major cities are 31 degrees in Seoul, 30 degrees in Incheon, 30 degrees in Chuncheon, 29 degrees in Gangneung, 29 degrees in Daejeon, 28 degrees in Daegu, 30 degrees in Jeonju, 29 degrees in Gwangju, 28 degrees in Busan, and 29 degrees on Jeju Island.

The tropical night phenomenon, where nighttime temperatures do not drop below 25 degrees, is also expected to gradually dissipate starting from the morning of this day.

There is also rain in the forecast. Rain will fall in southern Chungcheong until the morning of the 9th, and in southern regions until the afternoon. Rain is predicted to continue on the southern coast of Jeonnam and Gyeongnam, as well as on Jeju Island, until Wednesday the 10th.

The expected rainfall from the 8th over two days is 30 to 80mm in Gwangju and Jeonnam (more than 100mm in southern Jeonnam), 10 to 60mm in southern Jeonbuk, and 20 to 60mm in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam (more than 80mm on the southern coast of Gyeongnam), with 5 to 30mm in Daegu and Gyeongbuk.
